Mary Ann Reynolds, 86, of Bristol, CT passed away on August 18. Born in New Haven to Bronislaw and Catherine Topor and raised in Meriden, she graduated from Meriden High School. Mary Ann met Patrick Reynolds of Naugatuck, CT as members of the Polish Falcons in their teens and were married in 1952 while Patrick was in the Air Force. They lived in Meriden and moved to Southington in 1959. Mary Ann worked at the DePaolo Middle School cafeteria and later at The Hartford Insurance Co. After Patrick’s retirement from the Connecticut Light & Power Company, they moved to Cape Coral, FL where she worked part time at Crystal’s Hallmark shop. After Patrick passed away in 2015, Mary Ann moved back to Connecticut to be close to old friends and family. Mary Ann leaves behind her son David and his wife Betsy, of Bristol, CT., son Timothy and his wife Rosemary of Fort Thomas, KY, and daughter Patricia Ann Pry and her husband Michael of Mashpee, MA. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren - Kathleen, Laureen, Katherine, Claire, Benjamin, Samuel, Joseph, Julie, Kelly - and three great-grandchildren – Christopher, Kaylie and Jax, for whom she always had a chocolate chip cookie waiting for him. Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband Patrick, her brother Edward Topor, and her best friend of nearly 80 years, Julie Deegan. They were like the original Laverne and Shirley. She had many friends in Cape Coral, Southington, and Bristol, including her great friend of nearly 60 years, “Babe” LaMontagne of Southington. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 31, at 3pm at DuPont funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the memorial service from 2-3pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
